A study of the fundamental principles of chemistry, chemical activity of elements and compounds, principles of organic chemistry, and principles of biochemistry. Material to be studied includes problems of the environment, energy, population, air pollution, water pollution, solid wastes, pesticides, food additives, and drugs.
