The General Studies major is designed to provide a wide exposure to the liberal arts rather than a concentration in one department or division. This major provides an interdisciplinary program that may be suited for those transferring from a Bible school or community college.
Requirements total 60 hours, which are distributed among three divisions or the TEDS Undergraduate Teaching Department. The following courses are excluded: HPW 180, HPWA activities classes, applied music, and music organizations. Students must also meet general education requirements. The number of hours within the major that meet general education requirements depends on the three divisions selected.
Prioritize three divisions/areas of study, as follows, from the college's academic divisions and/or Bible and ministry courses taught by the TEDS Undergraduate Teaching Department.
|Division 1||Complete 30 hours, with a minimum of 12 hours in 300-level or above courses|
|Division 2||Complete 18 hours, with a minimum of 6 hours in 300-level or above courses|
|Division 3||Complete 12 hours, with a minimum of 3 hours in 300-level or above courses|
